I had a very successful and very tiring day yesterday. But very excited with the outcome from the Markets. The morning was very chaotic....in a good way......but the afternoon slowed down. I had help from my lovely husband Tony and my gorgeous girlfriend Rae, who managed to have the crowd entertained and in stitches.....the laughing kind. I had a lot of very happy customers leave with bags of 1 Puddle Lane goodness and I managed to get a few orders too. So I was so happy and pleased that the last 2 weeks paid off tenfold. The best selling items were the peasant dresses and tops. I sold quite a few denim dresses and skirts and I sold all my little hand bags except for one. I got a lot of interest with the boys shorts and sold quite a few.
A lot of my lovely fans came by to say hi which was really lovely to put a face to the name. So nice of you to come by. Also I meet some really lovely stallholders. Melissa from Pirouette pettiskirts, who specialise in beautiful tutu's, just gorgeous. She told me that she was in my daughter's (Kate) class in high school.....a small world. There was Leonie and Michael from Mielie Moo Designs who make stunning cloth nappies and Tennille from Abbey J who has the most gorgeous hair accessories.
All in all we had a great day......lots of fun. So over the next few days with what's left of my stock I'm going to put them on my madeit store for you to view.
I'm now in the process of sourcing fabric for orders and new designs......so stay tuned.

WE ARE OFF TO THE MATHILDAS MARKET
Hi Everyone,
I think I've just about done all I can.....I'm going to relax with a scotch soon and enjoy a well earned break. It has been a busy few weeks and it's funny as I didn't think I would get accepted to do the markets as it was so close to the date when I applied. But I think it's all meant to be. I found that my diary was empty for the next 2 1/2 weeks and also I'd been looking for denim fabric for quite a while and I was running out very quickly. I thought if only I could get some denim that would really be an incentive to do the markets. Guess what? The next day Spotlight received some lightweight denim.....what I had been looking for.......AND they were having a 20% off sale. So that was enough for me to dedicate the next 2 1/2 weeks to solid sewing and getting some new designs in the system.
I have now 71 garments to go to the Markets with and bloomers and little handbags also. But I didn't think I would have time to make boys pants. But I did. Along with all the garments I've had a sore back....from too much sewing.....headaches and a few sleepless nights. So tomorrow I'll see if it's been worth it. Somehow I think it will be.
I'm really excited and looking forward to the Markets tomorrow....it will be really nice to see my garments being received by the public and getting my brand out there. I've really enjoyed being under a bit of pressure getting new designs going and working with some really gorgeous American 100% cotton fabric.
I look forward to seeing some of you tomorrow. Come up and say hi .... I would love to meet my fans who have been supporting me and encouraging me along the way.
I'm off to do a bit of R & R and have that well earned scotch.
See you tomorrow.
Cheers.
Ann
p.s. I'll post a blog and photos sometime early next week.
